Mount Zion UMC

An Ash Wednesday service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 17 at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 15772 N.C. 50 North, a quarter-mile south of N.C. 42 in the Cleveland community.

'Souper Bowl' at C3

This weekend is Souper Bowl Weekend at Cleveland Community Church, 8246 Cleveland Road in the Cleveland community. The church will collect donations of nonperishable food items during its three weekend services: 6 p.m. Satruday and 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Horne Memorial UMC

Golden Gates, a musical youth group from Russia, will perform at 6:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 10), in the fellowship hall at Horne Memorial United Methodist Church, 121 E. 2nd St., Clayton. Gospel music

The North Carolina Baptist Singers and Orchestra will perform at 6:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 3000 E. Garner Road, Garner. Financial peace

Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, a 13-week program, will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at Centenary United Methodist Church, 140 E. Market St., Smithfield. Topics include saving for emergencies, budgeting, relationship and money issues, getting out of debt, understanding investments and insurance, retirement, real-estate mortgages and careers and extra jobs. Oakey Grove Baptist Church will celebrate Old-Fashioned Day on Sunday, Feb. 14. Lunch will follow the 11 a.m. worship hour. The church is on U.S. 70 Business west of Smithfield.
