Clayton, Garner rules differ
An article that appeared on page 1 of the Jan. 13 issue of the Garner-Clayton Record referenced the sale of alcohol at The Clayton Center. The article reported that insurance is required of individuals who serve alcohol when they rent the facility. This is a true statement; however, I would like to clarify that the cost of insurance and other costs mentioned in the article do not apply to The Clayton Center. We have never had a renter at The Clayton Center who paid the high rates for insurance and alcohol permit estimated in the article. Additionally, parking at The Clayton Center is free, and the center does not charge for parking attendants.
