Hospital lifts curbs on visits
Johnston Health officials say they think the critical stage of this H1N1 flu season has passed.
They have lifted the visitation restrictions put into place because of the flu epidemic.
Since October, the health-care system had permitted no one under 18 to visit patients at medical centers in Smithfield or Clayton. The rules also set limits on the number of visitors.
Two surrender in Clayton break-in
Two men have surrended to police on charges of breaking into a home in Clayton in November.
Antonio Chrisp, 20, of Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, and Matthew Hunichen, 20, of 4084 Barber Mill Road, Clayton, are charged with possessing stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretense. Chrisp is charged also with breaking and entering and larceny.
Also, police have charged a third man in the Nov. 29 break-in at 312 Waterford Drive.
Brandon Jamar Ray, 21, of 2101 Stephanie Lane, Clayton, is chared with possessing stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretense.
