Youth Sports

McGee's Crossroads Spring Baseball and Softball

Registration for spring baseball and softball (T-Ball, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 17U) with the McGee's Crossroads Athletic Association is now open online at www.gomcaa.com. In-person sign-up sessions will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at the McGee's Crossroads Middle School gym. Garner Area Youth Sports Leagues Spring Sign-Ups

Early registration for spring sports with Garner Area Youth Sports Leagues will be held from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. Feb. 6 at South Garner Park. Registration and evaluations will be held from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. Feb. 20.

Triangle Lightning 14U Tryouts

8U Garner Express Tryouts

Tryouts for the 8U Garner Express baseball team will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31, at Lions Field in Garner. Players cannot turn nine before May 1. For more info, contact coach Marr at 796-3035.

N.C. Indians 13U Tryouts

The N.C. Indians 13U baseball team needs three players to fill out its spring roster. The team is centered in the Clayton/Garner area. For more info, send an e-mail to aclark005@nc.rr.com.

GBI Express 14U Tryouts

The GBI Express 14U squad will hold tryouts from 2-4 p.m. on Jan. 23 and Jan. 30 at North Garner Middle School. For more info, call Joel Petri at 604-3341.

Free Narron Baseball Camp

The Narron family will hold a free baseball camp for ages 9-14 at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at C.B. Aycock High School. Registration will be held the day of the event. Offering instruction at the camp will be former Major League player and manager Jerry Narron, Johnny Narron, a Texas Rangers' hitting coach, Rooster Narron, a former Major League player, Sam Narron, a professional player, and Connor Narron, a UNC signee.

10U NC Cleveland Indians Need Players

GBI Express 9U Baseball Tryouts

The Garner Baseball Incorporated Express 9U baseball team will hold open tryouts at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31, at the GBI Baseball Complex in Garner.
