School Notes

Responsible kids

Dixon Road Elementary School recently honored a number of third-graders for being responsible. They were Mackenzie Bruner, Luke Medlin, Milsy Avila, Ethan Tew, Peyton Askew, Eli Pekaar, Brandon Watson, Antonio Taboas, Zackary Hoag, Yul Herrera, Eden Anderson, Tomas Mendez, Hunter Denton, Jordan Wombles, Alyson Nunez, Chase Moore, Lauren Augustine, Gabriele Effinger, Jordan Jarman, Jordan Warren, Tolesha Davis and DaVaughn Hawkins.

Spanish for teachers

A Spanish class for teachers will begin Jan. 14 in Room 115 in the Elsee Building at Johnston Community College, 245 College Road, Smithfield. The class will meet from 6 till 9 p.m. Thursdays through Feb. 25. The fee is $65. For more details, call 919-209-2594 or e-mail hhharris@johnstoncc.edu.
